When asked “Which woman (…) personifies the true essence of femininity“, the votes for Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn came pouring in. American icon Monroe leads the way with 25% of your votes, only 1% ahead of the popular
“Breakfast at Tiffany’s” star. With a contest as close as this, you will have to help us decide: Do blondes really have more fun?

Not far behind her Hollywood counterparts is the lovely Halle Berry with 19% of votes. The Oscar-winning actress and former beauty queen may continue her winning streak if she picks up steam…In fourth place is a contestant who proves that true femininity does not only shine on the silver screen: “My Mother” gathered 12% of the popular vote.

Raquel Welch, Madonna and Carla Bruni round out the list of contestants, sharing 9% of votes. Although they have some catching up to do, any of them could make a comeback. It all depends on your participation!

  • I am happy to see that Audrey Hepourn is a leader in this contest. However, I don’t understand why Marilyn Munroe did so well. To me she represents only one facet of womanhood.

  • I’m going to add someone who isn’t even on the list, but I feel should be. While it’s true, Audrey, Rita and Marilyn are feminine beauties of the past, I feel Jennifer Love Hewett personifies femininity NOW in current times.

    Marilyn was not a true blond although while was beautiful BUT Audrey Hepburn by far was a real lady….true meaning of what femininity was all about. She had class, poise & grace.
