“Celebrate Your Beauty” contest ends with a bang!
On the occasion of our 70th anniversary, the WonderBra brand wishes to thank you for your ongoing support. Contest prizes consisted of a weekend spa getaway for two valued at $2,500, as well as 70 special anniversary-style bras. The registration period is now closed and the draw was held on June 30.
Our grand prize winner is Lori Darowski from Ajax, Ontario. Congratulations!
Over the past two months, you have shown us your support with thousands contest entries and responses to our survey. The majority of you voted for Marilyn Monroe as the woman who personifies the true essence of femininity. Your highly relevant and friendly comments fuelled our discussions over the past weeks.

I fell in love with your Wonder Bra Special Anniversary Style 1939. It fits like a glove and I bought 3 in every color. Is there any chance you will make this model in black? It would be perfect for my wardrobe.

we are very sorry if you waited for a reply, maybe your first question got lost, as we didn’t see it. You can find the model in white at Zellers and Wal-Mart and yo will find the model in black and the soft taupe at the Bay.

Hello, I also love the anniversary style 1939. It is definately the best fitting bra I have found. I bought one at Sears and a month later went back to buy a whole bunch more however they were gone! I was told it was a one time thing and they would not be back.
PLEASE tell me where I can buy more! I have been to every Sears in my area (and even outside my area) not all of the Sears stores carried them.

The style was such a succes, that most of the stores are sold out. And because the anniversary was sold for a limited time only, to promote WonderBra’s 70th anniversary, we are verty sorry to tell you that the style has been discontinued.

So, with great joy and relief I have finally found a bra to hold all of me in and up in comfort and ease. The constant back pain in the center of my back is gone and when I bend over to tie my shoes, I don’t fall out of my bra. People tell me that I have lost weight and look GREAT! Well, I do! The bra? The anniversary 1939. And I only have two. Sadly no more can be found and I have had family memebers search in three provinces for me. Please Please bring it back. I own an “Opra bra” its good – but the 1939 is way way better without the cup dimples that became permanent when someone hugged me.
Please. I heard about it too late. Where were the ads on TV? Only one year of them and not even a full year……please, please, I am begging………None of your other line fits like this one and I have tried. please……..
This bra (1939) is too comfortable to not bring back. Is there anything else of similar design and materials???

I would like to add my voice to the chorus – I love the 1939 model and want to buy more. This bra fits so well, provides good coverage and support -plus it is super comfortable and well made. So many other bras are too low in the center front causing “spillage”. The 1939 is so secure and it looks great. Please bring it back!!!

Looks like your voice, and the chorus, was heard! The model 1939 was launched last year to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the brand (1939-2009). It was so popular that they decided to bring it back, starting next fall (for a limited time only) but with another model number.
So, next fall, you will have to look for model number 1708, in a box, or E1708H, on a hanger.

Hi there. I too loved the 1939 model as I have a lot of difficulty finding regular department store bras that fit, and, like a previous letter-writer, had to resort to the Oprah bra. I have a narrow back, but am a C – D cup; somehow 1939 fits just right. It is so comfortable & looks great under a T-shirt! Please, please bring it back!!
When you said it will be re-appearing as model 1708 next Fall, did you mean 2010 or 2011 – also will it be available in Canada?

Unfortunately, WonderBra 1939 has been discontinued as well as style 1708. You see, this last bra was launched as a one shot at Sears in the Fall of 2010; and at this time we have no similar product to offer. Take a loo at our online catalogs, maybe you will find another WonderBra that does wonders for you t-shirts!

I happened to go into Sears Metrotown (Burnaby, BC) today, & found the 1708 bra. YAY! It looks a little different in that there’s a bit of a pattern instead of being very smooth, but still fits great. I found them hanging on the rack, not boxed, so hopefully others that wanted them have found them too.
